​​Xi Delta Chapter at

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi

In the fall of 2004, a group of ten women were in the hopes of becoming founders at Texas A & M University- Corpus Christi. Crossing their founding line of five women in April 2005, these women helped cross four more lines before being closed in the summer of 2007. The former colony was instructed to wait one calendar year, after being closed, to begin the process of reopening a colony on campus. A year later, seven women petitioned individually to bring back the colony. Anabel Tenorio, San Juanita Tenorio, Brendalyn Tavel, Ana Salazar, Marcia Ventura, and Shanes Spoonamore were initiated into Sigma Lambda Gamma as members at large on June 14, 2008 at 10:53 PM. ​


During the fall of 2009 nine new interested women petitioned to reestablish the colony once again. With the help of three Sigma Lambda Gamma sisters, at large members, the Texas A & M University- Corpus Christi colony was established once again.​


On February 12, 2010 at 9:57 PM, ten women were inducted as associate members. These women were Jeanette Williams, Gabriela Soto, Amanda Salazar, Barbara Rodriguez, Marissa Robledo, Ariel Minor, Cindy Marrujo, Kelsey Kotara, Amanda Garza, and Ashley Brooks. Sisters in attendance included the line’s educators, Associate Member Educator Alice Garcia and Colony Advisor Angel Keen, sister Antonio Carreon, members at large Shanes Spoonamore, Virgina Torres, Anabel Tenorio, and Ana Salazar.​


During their process the ladies worked hard on their policy manuals and bylaws, as well as coming together as a line. On April 24, 2010 at 11:30 AM, the ten associate members Kelsey Kotara, Ashley Brooks, Ariel Minor, Amanda Garza, terminated member Marissa Robledo, Amanda Salazar, Jeanette Williams, Gabriela Soto, Cindy Marrujo, and terminated member Barbara Rodriguez were initiated into the sorority, and became the new founding line at Texas A & M University- Corpus Christi.​

On October 1, 2010 at 10:31 PM, five women were inducted as associate members. These women were Alma Flores, Chante Garcia, Lluvia Montanez, Rosa Ramirez, and Crystal Alonzo. The line’s educators were Associate Member Educator Alice Garcia and Assistant Educator Amanda Garza, and Colony Advisor Angel Keen. On December 4, 2010 at 12:31PM, five associate members Crystal Alonzo, Chante Garcia, terminated member Alma Flores, terminated member Rosa Ramirez, Lluvia Montanez were initiated into Sigma Lambda Gamma Sorority, and became the Alpha Line at Texas A & M University- Corpus Christi.​



On February 14, 2011 Sigma Lambda Gamma Colony at Texas A & M University- Corpus Christi received chapter status with the help of sisters members Kelsey Kotara, Ashley Brooks, Ariel Minor, Amanda Garza, Jeanette Williams, Cindy Marrujo, Crystal Alonzo, Chante Garcia, terminated member Rosa Ramirez, and Lluvia Montanez. From that day on the entity was known at the Xi Delta Chapter at Texas A & M University- Corpus Christi.​



On Decemeber 03, 2011 the Xi Delta Chapter of Sigma Lambda Gamma initiated five new members as a part of their beta line. Those members of the fall 2011 line were Bianca Rodriguez, Felicia Martinez, terminated member Kristyn Morin, Heather Bartell, and Kristen Garza and were educated by Ashley Brooks and Ariel Minor.



During the Fall semester of 2012, the chapter's fourth line of women was initiated. Gamma line was educated by Felicia Martinez and Lluvia Montanez, its members included: Megan Waldrup, Angelica 'Nikki' Ochoa,  Jenny Spearman, Brandie Ring, DeAnna Guzman, terminanted member Jacqueline Navarrete, Jesseka Baker, and terminanted member January Roland.

 

During the Fall semester of 2013, the chapter's fifth line of women was initiated. Delta line was educated by Kristen Garza and Felicia Martinez, its sole member was Stephani Leilani Sanchez. 

 

During the Spring semester of 2014, the chapter's sixth line of women was initiated. Epsilon line was educated by Kristen Garza and Angelica 'Nikki' Ochoa, its members included: Denysse Nolazco, terminated member Shellby Soto, Samanthia Flores and Aneth Soto. 

 

In the Spring of 2015, the chapter welcomed its seventh line educated by Jenny Spearman. Zeta line consists of members Ashley Mojica, Chasity Canavacholo, and Maddy Hernandez.

 

During the Fall of 2015, the chapter's eighth line was welcomed. This line was educated by Stephani Sanchez and Denysse Nolazco. Eta Line's members are: Jamie Perez, Brittney Salinas, terminated member Ana Ochoa, terminated member Charmaine Snow, Lauren Cisneros, and terminated member Laura Niaves.

 

In the Spring of 2016, the chapter welcomed their ninth line. Theta Line was educated by Denysse Nolazco and Aneth Soto. Its members included: Olivia Santos, Bri'Anna Harper, and Ashley Ventura.

In the Fall of 2016, the chapter's tenth line was introduced. Iota Line was educated by Brandie Ring and Ashley Mojica. Its members are: Brittany Trevino, Sofia Flores, terminated member Alyssa Vasquez, and Damarez Moncevalles.

In the Fall of 2017, the chapter's eleventh line was welcomes. Kappa Line was educated by Bri'Anna Harper. Its members are: Katherine Sandoval and Micaela Hernandez.

In the Spring 2018, the chapter's twelfth line was introduced. Lambda Line was educated by Damarez Moncevalles. Its members include: Breanna Wright and Valerie Muniz.

 

In the Fall of 2018, the chapter's thirteenth line was introduced. Mu Line was educated by Damarez Moncevalles. Its members include: terminated member Lillian Martinez, Mekenzie Mangold, Friederike Davis, Heather Harrod, Alexa Ramirez, and Crystal Medrano.

In the Spring of 2019, the chapter's fourteenth line was introduced. Nu Line was educated by Ashley Ventura and Sofia Flores. Its members include: Natasha Gonzales, Yesenia Vasquez, and Lindsey Marek.

In the Fall of 2019, the chapter's fifteenth line was introduced. Xi line was educated by Ashley Ventura and Crystal Medrano, its sole member was Destiny Sanchez. 

​

In the Fall of 2020, the chapter's sixteenth line was introduced. Omicron line was educated by Alexa Ramirez and Valerie Muniz. Its members include: Michelle Ramirez and Cassandra Baldazo.

​

In the Spring of 2021, the chapter's seventeenth line was introduced. Pi line was educated by Alexa Ramirez and Destiny Sanchez, its sole member was Gabrielle Rodriguez. 


The chapter continues to grow and its members continue to remain active on campus by supporting other organizations, hosting events to promote the principles and values for which Sigma Lambda Gamma stands for, as well as continuing to recruit interests that exemplify the type distinction for which a Gamma is known.
