Our 5 Principles and Philanthropy

ACADEMICS

Academics is very important to us and is our number one principle! We have study hours every month which are done by the whole chapter in the library. To retain, and be considered for,  membership you must have a GPA of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
We, as an organization strongly believe in giving back to the community that keeps us here. We have a highway that we "adopted" off of Roddfield Rd. and Saratoga Blvd. We also participate in beach clean ups and other community service events hosted by the Student Volunteer Connection and other organizations on campus as well.
CULTURAL AWARENESS
Being a part of Sigma Lambda Gamma means being a part of an extremely diverse group of women. To promote our diversity we participate in and advertise for events and activities that take place on campus, throughout the school year, supporting different cultures and backgrounds.
SOCIAL INTERACTION
Being social and interacting with people is a not just a key part of greek life but of college life in general. Therefore we promote and attend different events and activities sponsored by different organizations and departments on campus, both greek and non-greek.
MORALS AND ETHICS
&
BREAST CANCER AWARENESS
Morals and ethics are just what they seem to be..knowing right from wrong and good from bad. We are wearing our letters everyday, every moment no matter what we are doing and it is up to us to make sure that we live up to our other principles in every aspect and activity we participate it.

Breast Cancer has affected a lot of us in one way or another, but not only does it affect us it affects others as well. 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer during her lifetime. We actively participate in the 'Making Strides Walk' as well as 'Relay For Life' and we fund raise throughout the year for both of these events as well as for 'First Fridays', a program that allows women to receive free mammograms every first Friday of the month.
